Role Summary:
The Proposal Specialist will oversee the comprehensive proposal development process, ensuring all phases from pre-RFP planning to final submission are executed seamlessly. This role involves critical analysis of RFPs, coordinating proposal kick-off meetings, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather necessary information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the proposal development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with RFP specifications and timelines.
- Lead the creation of compelling proposal themes and value propositions to enhance win rates.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure adherence to Valarcorp Inc branding standards.
- Utilize effective project management methodologies, including proposal plans and compliance matrices, to oversee multiple projects.
- Facilitate post-submission activities, including addressing Discussion Items and Clarifications.
- Assist in the grant writing process as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with local operations, clinical teams, business development, and corporate partners such as finance and legal.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep the proposal tracking system and information databases updated and accurate.
- Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to initiatives and projects.
- Continuously enhance proposal processes and maintain the proposal library content.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience (3-5 years) is essential.
- Preferred experience of 3-5 years in proposal development.
- Proven ability to craft technical or creative writing; writing samples will be requested.
- Familiarity with MS Word for proposal formatting and other content development tools is advantageous.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe are preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a deadline-driven environment is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effective information exchange with supervisors, colleagues, and clients are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in the English language is required.
- Experience with CRM systems and proposal technology is preferred.
