Salary: Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:
EAS is currently looking for a mid-level professional with expertise in cultural resource management. This is a full-time remote position with travel required for projects as needed.

Essential Functions:
Complete all phases of archaeological investigation, including field excavation techniques, inventory evaluation, and data recovery efforts. Expertise in analysis of prehistoric and historic artifacts, preparation of compliance reports, and consultation with regulatory agency personnel. Experience in project management duties such as scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing. Prepare Work Plans, design research methodologies, direct field crews, and oversee report production. Write archaeological reports and/or prepare site forms and make decisions about project alternatives and effects on historic properties in collaboration with a team. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing historic resources. Create National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) compliance reports and supporting documentation necessary to protect or mitigate significant archaeological, historic, and Native American sites. Experience using GPS units, Total Stations, GIS software, and Adobe applications. Serve as peer/technical reviewer for internal and external documents to ensure quality. Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet project deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related discipline. Master's degree preferred but not required. Successfully completed an accredited archaeological field school. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation. Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening upon start of employment. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to travel 25% - 50%. May be times that travel will exceed 50% in a month and/or six-month period based on fieldwork. Desired qualifications include 5+ years of relevant work experience, experience in conducting architectural resource surveys, and experience working with state and federal agencies.
