Job Description:

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Water Resources Specialist to contribute to our team in Malvern, PA, Washington, DC, or Ewing, NJ offices. As a Water Resources Specialist, you will play a key role in executing water and climate-related studies, assisting clients in assessing physical, regulatory, and reputational water stress factors, and collecting data for benchmarking peer performance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams of practitioners, develop strategic thinking, and apply technical knowledge to drive client success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of water and climate-related studies to support client needs
  • Collect and analyze data to assess various water stress factors and their business risk impacts
  • Benchmark client performance on ESG issues and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Develop strategies for clients to meet their sustainability goals and reduce water-related risks
  • Collaborate with clients to pursue certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship Standard
  • Perform watershed and water resource assessments for various environmental settings
  • Utilize geospatial data analytics and related software to address impact, regulatory, and climate change issues
  • Ensure quality standards are met on deliverables and projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget expectations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in water resources management or a related field
  • Working knowledge of programming environments such as MATLAB and/or R
  • Experience working with geospatial databases
  • Strong aptitude for strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Solid English written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing detailed technical reports

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $69,500 - $83,250 USD. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States and may vary depending on location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
