Job Summary

The Senior Youth Counselor position at Berkshire Farm Center & Services For Youth is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of at-risk youth. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance, support, and education to help youth achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and support youth in achieving their educational and personal goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to ensure academic success.
  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling to address behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and supportive environment.
  • Assist with daily meal preparation and maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment.
  • Participate in shift work and cover responsibilities as needed.

Requirements
  • Minimum High School/GED required, associate's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with at-risk youth in detention/residential facilities.
  • TCI, First Aid/CPR certifications required.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
