About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager/Engineer to join our team at The Intersect Group. As a key member of our Construction Field Services team, you will play a critical role in growing our operations and driving business growth initiatives throughout Tennessee.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of inspectors, document control personnel, and related staff, and oversee the document control process using specified software.
  • Coordinate work resources with internal multidiscipline clientele and external contractors.
  • Train and mentor staff for professional and technical growth, and interpret construction drawings and specifications on construction projects.
  • Manage contract administration activities, document progress, and identify key issues proactively.
  • Perform constructability reviews, prepare and review project documents, and assist in the RFI, submittal, and change order review process.
  • Evaluate merits of contractor change orders and claims, and maintain scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and resolve issues arising from the inspection process or contract administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience with Tennessee agency program inspection services.
  • 8 years of construction contract management experience related to public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong Financial Management Skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
