Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications and drawings to determine quantities and calculate pricing
  • Communicate with subcontractors to obtain pricing for projects
  • Determine quantities of materials in various trades
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions
  • Solicit and review bids for completeness
  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders regarding project details
  • Perform detailed take-offs for self-performed work
  • Price work and prepare estimates for assigned trades
  • Develop strategies to pursue and win competitive bids

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of construction estimating experience
  • Experience estimating retail stores, grocery stores, churches, car washes, and other commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture, or similar field
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of construction management, architecture, or engineering
  • Valid Driver's license
