Position Overview
If you possess extensive knowledge in the semiconductor industry and have a solid history in sourcing semiconductor components, F5 welcomes you to consider joining our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overarching procurement and supply chain strategy at F5.
- Formulate commodity strategies for semiconductor components, focusing on cost efficiency, supply chain optimization, quality assurance, and timely deliveries.
- Lead the RFx process for supplier selection to facilitate new product introductions.
- Manage cost adjustments during new product introduction (NPI) development and beyond to keep expenses within target limits.
- Examine market trends and data to devise cost reduction strategies.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies in the supply chain through multi-sourcing and effective supplier relationship management.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
- Oversee strategic supplier partnerships and conduct regular performance evaluations and alignment discussions.
- Address and resolve challenges related to commodity procurement and delivery.
- Prepare and present reports on commodity management activities.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, regulations, and standards.
- Ensure adherence to F5's Business Code of Ethics and report any violations promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Experience in sourcing and RFx processes.
- Proficiency in data analytics.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Understanding of new product introductions.
- Expertise in contract management.
- Supplier relationship management experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience as a commodity manager in the electronics sector, with at least 5 years focused on semiconductor components.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple semiconductor categories and global contract manufacturers is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
