Principal Test Development Engineer

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Test Development Engineer to join our Sensor Test Solutions (STS) department within Test Equipment Engineering (TEE). This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with a background in digital, analog, RF, or power test equipment design and a desire to apply those skills to developing, building, and integrating advanced test platforms and architectures.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with internal and external partners on the design and deployment of complex factory test systems
- Lead development of test hardware, software, and/or firmware through its development cycle, from requirements definition through deployment at manufacturing or customer facilities
- Actively identify test readiness issues and optimizations through the development lifecycle
- Lead medium-to-large sized teams to meet project budget, schedule, and performance commitments
- Provide technical leadership to employees in support of their specific work assignments
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in an engineering design and development environment with 4+ years direct experience with Test Equipment design and development tasks
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with National Instruments' TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW
- Digital, and/or Analog, and/or RF, and/or power supply test hardware design experience
- Use of Commercial Test and Measurement Equipment
- VXI/VME/MXI/PXI/CompactPCI Application Development
- CMMI and 6 Sigma Experience

This is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
