Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions within the unit/department during their designated shift. As a CNC, you will collaborate with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 1-2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within 2 years of accepting the role.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification.
  • Ability to interpret basic EKG rhythms within 6 months.
