Medical Support Specialist

ScionHealth is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Support Specialist in our acute care hospitals, you will play a vital role in the recovery process for patients with complex medical needs.
You will assist professional nursing personnel in providing high-quality patient care, including activities of daily living, personal care, and emotional support. Under the direction of registered nurses, you will perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patient rooms, and assisting with patient transfers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care, including activities of daily living and personal care.
- Take and record vital signs, prepare patient rooms, and assist with patient transfers under the direction of registered nurses.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, promoting a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and respond to patient needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care activities, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- At least six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $55,000 per year
