Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in marine applications. This position involves the design, development, and management of electrical systems tailored for marine and offshore initiatives. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical systems adhere to technical, safety, and regulatory standards, thereby contributing to the successful delivery of our marine engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for marine vessels, offshore platforms, and coastal infrastructure, focusing on power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive electrical analyses and simulations to validate system performance and reliability.
  • Prepare and review electrical design documentation, including schematics, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marine engineers, naval architects, and project managers, to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues throughout the design, installation, and operational phases.
  • Ensure compliance of all electrical designs with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as IEC, IEEE, and ABS.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in marine electrical engineering, showcasing a robust portfolio of marine and offshore electrical projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB).
