Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor for any irregularities or potential safety risks.
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas on foot.
  • Report incidents to the appropriate authorities as per established procedures.
  • Assist in the prompt reporting of emergencies and provide guidance to employees and visitors.
  • Address rule violations, including loitering or unauthorized gatherings.
  • Observe the entry and exit of staff to ensure public safety.
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain accurate logs as required by the position.
  • Provide courteous assistance to customers, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is required.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and work environments is essential.
  • A valid driver's license or reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Ability to respond swiftly to changing situations is crucial.
  • Advanced skills in addressing security breaches and threats are required.
  • Physical capability to kneel, carry, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods is needed.
  • Attention to detail and a professional demeanor are expected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Proficiency in using mobile devices, texting, MS Word/Excel, and email systems is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to residents of the Greater Boston area.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with security systems and surveillance technology is advantageous.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, Narcan, MOAB, or ACT I, II, or III are highly regarded.
  • An Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice-related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in documentation, observation, customer service, and security protocols is desirable.
  • Previous experience in concierge services is a plus.
