Our challenge
We are seeking a skilled Product Support Engineer-Candidate required to Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams. Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area. Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems. Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements. Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $85k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in Production Support for Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) applications
- Provide support for highly complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; uses diagnostic, simulation, and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to CMS applications
- Clearly understand and articulate end-user and technical issues from both business and application perspectives
- This support analyst will use a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines including Oracle, MS SQL, Azure Cloud & Autosys.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure partners like middleware, NAS, database, F5/network, encryption (Vormetric) etc.
- Manage issues independently to resolution.
- Define, document and implement processes and procedures for supporting client / server architecture and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) framework.
- Work with developers and application owners to implement the changes and document it.
- Prioritize production support issues based on application and business knowledge. Escalate and communicate critical issues when required.
- Perform and lead Disaster Recovery Tests.
- Share and transfer technical and business knowledge with others on the Production Support team.
- Help drive consistency and ensure best practices are shared within Production Support group.
- Will need to work an on-call rotation and possible after-hours as needed.
You are:
- Experience with both Unix and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with databases: Microsoft SQL and Oracle.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Experience with Batch Scheduling and Monitoring Tools.
- Knowledge of Web Tools - IIS, Autosys, ITRS, App Dynamics, Azure Monitor, Elastic APM/Prometheus.
- Strong scripting skills with Unix shell and Windows powershell.
- Proficient knowledge in standard ITIL processes, especially in Incident, Problem, and Change Management
