This position operates independently, under limited supervision, providing direction and guidance to assigned Respiratory Therapists, and depending on assigned unit, other non-nursing professionals. This is a working supervisor position. Individuals in this position possess specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient.
