Job Summary

The Supervisor Respiratory Therapy is responsible for the coordination and supervision of work performed by assigned professional staff engaged in respiratory care activities and for providing respiratory therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients of MultiCare.

This position operates independently, under limited supervision, providing direction and guidance to assigned Respiratory Therapists, and depending on assigned unit, other non-nursing professionals.

This is a working supervisor position. Individuals in this position possess specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise work performed by assigned professional staff engaged in respiratory care activities
  • Provide respiratory therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients of MultiCare
  • Operate independently, under limited supervision, providing direction and guidance to assigned Respiratory Therapists
  • Depending on assigned unit, provide direction and guidance to other non-nursing professionals
  • Perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care
  • Establish therapy and treatment objectives, and review care based on the age and needs of the patient

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy training program
  • Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • 2 years of experience in professional or technical role/function
  • Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner with the State of Washington
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role
  • Current CPR certification required and advanced life support credential required within days of hire depending on specific position and course availability (NRP, PALS or ACLS)

The pay scale is $86, $125,091.00 USD.
