Position: Dental Hygienist
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patients feel comfortable before examinations
  • Properly sterilize dental instruments
  • Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
  • Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
  • Clean and protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride)
  • Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care techniques
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients
  • Take X-rays and dental impressions
  • Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various conditions, including oral cancer
  • Maintain documentation and charts for each patient
  • Monitor and manage supplies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Patient and friendly demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene; a Master's degree is a plus
  • Valid license to practice
