Essential FunctionsManage on-going safety programWork with Operations to ensure proper safety staffingVerify fieldwork compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy, and industry best practicesAudit and provide meaningful feedback, leadership, and guidance to safety engineersCoordinate cross-training and conduct training as necessaryAssist management with methods to improve safety practices and proceduresConduct and report on advance notice and no-notice inspections, surveys, and evaluationsReceive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reportsProvide technical and professional assistance to eliminate or control unsafe behavior and environmental factorsProvide progress reports on safety activities, safety reports, and safety studiesRegular and predictable attendanceEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with theCompany’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicableOther duties as assigned About You: QualificationsExperience with OSHA record keeping, reporting and Method of Procedure (MOP) writingExperience in job hazard & safety analysis within the transmission and distribution industryExperience in the field of transmission and distribution line constructionManagement experience within a safety roleSafety or related technical undergraduate degree (such as CSP)Safety related credentials (e.g., OSHA 501, OTI certifications, etc.)Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExperience with Risk ManagementEffective communicatorStrong written and oral communications skillsReliable and punctualSelf-starter and team playerPositive attitudeValid driver’s licenseKnowledge of utility and construction safety programsOSHA/DOT related experienceOSHA 10, 30, and 500 (Train the Trainer) CertifiedBasic computer and typing skillsKnowledge of OSP (OSHA Strategic Partnership) What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsSalary $98,600-$123,200 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly.
