Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing a team of approximately 30 team members, coordinating receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly manage a workforce of approximately 30 team members engaged in warehouse operations, including production line drivers.
  • Manage the warehouse, scheduling, quality, and procurement teams, including performance and attendance management, time management, overtime, team member development, and policy compliance.
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage systems.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitioning replacement equipment.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Responsible for managing the annual warehouse inventory process.
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members, following up on work results.
  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new team members.
  • Manage the Quality Control department to meet product standards.
  • Manage the Safety Quality and Food (SQF) program, including the annual certification audit.
  • Responsible for providing a safe work environment and participating in plant safety programs, including safety audits and safety initiatives.
  • Complete various supply chain daily reports.
  • Conduct job, safety, and other related PIT training with staff.
  • Communicate and enforce company work rules and policies, including attendance.
  • Enforce safety rules, housekeeping standards, and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA and safety regulations.
  • Follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Initiate corrective and coaching actions.
  • Monitor and enforce good attendance and punctuality of the entire staff.
  • Work closely with the Safety & Quality team to ensure safety and quality guidelines are sustained.
  • Support all current and new product demands.
  • Work with all other departmental areas to maintain productivity and plant initiatives.
  • Partner with STM leadership to ensure team collaboration, including training methods that lead to plant productivity. May participate in required audits.
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or equivalent work experience.

Five (5) to ten (10) years of supervision in a food and/or beverage grade manufacturing environment.

Four (4) years in a maintenance management role within a non-union environment, strong Project Management, strong technical knowledge in maintenance trades, equipment design, and function.
