Job Description Maintenance Technician II - Evansville, INThis is an hourly, non-exempt level position.Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical equipment across multiple locations. This role involves repairing and troubleshooting machinery, reading blueprints, and conducting emergency and preventative maintenance. To excel in this role, you will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other maintenance colleagues, while adhering to safety protocols and demonstrating strong work ethic and adaptability.Position Responsibilities:Perform maintenance activities individually or as part of a team with co-workersRepairing electrical, mechanical equipment, operating equipment, and toolsReading and understanding blueprints and manualsWelding and pipefitting as necessaryReading and interpreting drawingsPerform emergency & preventative mechanical & electrical repairs on all equipment (includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting parts, equipment & machinery)Troubleshoot all equipment throughout the facilityCommunicate with the Production Staff and the Maintenance Supervisor regarding status of equipmentWork with operators to monitor all safety items on the machines and keep them in optimal operating conditionMaintain Tool Inventory, verify all tools & equipment are properly accounted for and stored correctlyAbility to assist in all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific) and inspects barges, trucks and railcars before loadingProficient in all facets of ADM's safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices, has the ability to perform JHA's and recognize near misses
Perform housekeeping and cleaning dutiesAbility to learn and follow procedures for barge operations Follow procedures for working over water and on bargesAbility to learn and follow procedures for rail operationsAbility to learn and follow procedures for inventory management and bin capacitiesAbility to learn and follow procedures for power industrial equipmentPerforms any and all duties of Production Specialist and Utility PositionPosition Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required2-3 years of maintenance experience requiredCommitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures , as well as a commitment to uphold the ADM Code of ConductRequired to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededAble to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), move up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to wear a respiratorColleague will be expected to show an ability to learn functions outside of the production specialist to help fill for temporary or permanent vacancies in other rolesDemonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when neededAbility to work safely and follow policies and proceduresAbility to effectively communication with all members of teamExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
