The Sacramento branch serves the No. Cal region including Sacramento, Modesto, Stockton, Tracy, Lodi, Merced up to Redding, and Nevada. We provide wholesale construction materials for commercial HVAC, mechanical insulation, 3M fire-stopping, and FRP. We also offer other building products for your construction needs.
As Outside Sales, you will use business development to acquire a contractor base and more. You will receive support from our inside sales teams, delivery and warehouse teams, and manufacturing representatives (vendors). You will be expected to initiate customer communication in the business development process to provide sales opportunities. You will be expected to create customer relationships that lead to repeat business. You are provided with all the tools you need to be a successful salesperson such as a cell phone, laptop, company vehicle, as well as industry-leading products to sell. Our pay structure for outside sales is a base salary plus commission.
Outside Sales Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotes and close sales
- Product knowledge training with customers to grow their knowledge of products and installation practices
- Determine customer needs and propose appropriate product solutions
- Acquire new business
- Achieve sales goals
- Work closely with inside sales, warehouse personnel, management, and vendors
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services
- Maintain awareness of market changes and competitor's actions
Requirements:
- Willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help out when necessary
- Stimulating communicators with a persuasive, but collaborative, approach to selling
- Because goals and desired results can quickly change, the job requires regularly meeting and pro-actively establishing relationships with new groups
- The ability to understand, quickly react, and motivate others
- Meeting the needs of your customer base
- Able to handle multiple projects occurring simultaneously with a sense of urgency for goal achievement
- Keep others informed of the decision-making process and able to assume responsibility for risk
- Qualified Driving record
- Construction Industry experience
- 2 or more years of sales experience
