Labor Relations Projects Manager

PURPOSE:Provides project management support for the UNFI Labor Relations team and serves as a professional resource for labor relations matters.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as project manager for labor relations projects, such as contract negotiations and multi-site / system wide advisory projects, including preparation of task lists, meeting coordination and follow-upServe as PMO, administrator and LR lead contact for company wide databases relating to labor relations matters, and coordinate with HR partners and Operations team members relating to input of data, processing of matter andresolutionAssist with responding to requests for information and other inbound correspondence, including coordination of information, preparation of draft responses, and maintenance of files.Assist with substantive labor relations projects, partnering with other members of the Labor Relations teamAssist VP & DGC and other team members with preparation of reports, presentations, memos and other materials, including formatting and layout, and coordination of review by multiple stakeholdersManage labor relations litigation docket, including administration of litigation holds, coordination of outside counsel, maintenance of files, and budgetingFunction as team administrator for labor relations budget and support VP & DGC on budgeting and invoicing matters from third party service providersFunction as a billing administrator in e-billing platform, including inputting new matters, reviewing invoices for compliance with billing guidelines and communicate with outside vendors and internal stakeholders regarding the same.Performs other relevant job duties as required; some domestic travel may be requiredJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)Bachelors degree and/or educational equivalent plus work experience in a labor relations, human resources or projectmanagement capacityExperience:5-7+ years work experience in a labor relations, human resources or project management capacityExperience working in a large law firm / professional services firm environment a plusPrevious project management experience preferred; PMP certification a plus, but not requiredCertification in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodology a strong plusOther Skills/ Abilities:Ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential informationAdvanced knowledge of Excel, database and word-processing programs.Advanced knowledge of Powerpoint is strongly preferred.Must be comfortable interacting with senior executivesPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
