Amazon Redshift is looking for a Customer Success Engineer, who possess a unique balance of technical knowledge, business acumen, and interpersonal skill. We are looking for a motivated technologist that specializes in data warehousing or database systems and is excited to work with some of the largest and most advanced customers of Redshift. Ideal candidates have a strong background in Redshift and/or other data warehouse technologies, technical consulting, solutions architect, and customer management or similar roles. Amazon Redshift is a fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud. With Redshift, you can query data in your data warehouse and combine it with exabytes of structured and semi-structured data that sits in the S3 Data Lake. Today, tens of thousands of AWS customers use Redshift to run mission-critical workloads including BI dashboards, analyze real-time streaming data, and run predictive analytics jobs. In this role, you will support Redshift engineering, product, and operations. This will include working directly with some of our largest and most important customers to identify and resolve issues, assist pre-sales deals to onboard large-scale customers, automate repetitive processes, and work closely with business and support teams. You will prioritization operational issues, communicate roadmaps with customers, and become intimate with the architecture of our systems, while also deeply understanding customer use-cases and configurations, and also help prioritizing features. The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, customer obsession, deep experience working with data warehouse technologies, preferably in large scale, distributed environments; and be very comfortable with networking and distributed architecture topics. You will have enthusiasm for digging deep and a flare for sharp technical communication, prioritization and organization. Open to traveling ~30% domestic with some international.
