Plant visits require appropriate personal protective equipment. Computer-based tasks are also a significant component of the role.Physical DemandsThe role may involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ladder and stair climbing may be required. The ability to see clearly at close and distant ranges, with accurate color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment is essential.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position requiring a standard 40-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday. Flexible work arrangements may be possible with supervisor approval. Occasional after-hours work and travel (less than 10%) may be required.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing process operations or related industries.Strong understanding of mechanical/chemical engineering principles and process safety management.Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.High level of self-motivation, work ethic, initiative, and adaptability.Hands-on mentality combined with a practical approach and problem-solving focus.Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices.Supervisory experience preferred.Effective written and oral communication skills, including technical writing and presentation development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. SAP experience is beneficial.
