What You Will Do:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.

  • Trouble shoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems on equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plumbing.

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.

  • Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.

  • Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.

  • Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.

  • Working with chemicals and maintaining Hazardous Waste manifests.

  • Complies with SOP’s (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications, and safety policies.

  • May perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Learn:

  • You'll learn about safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and others in the workplace.

  • Being a key player or owner of some site safety programs.

  • You'll become skilled at diagnosing problems when equipment or systems malfunction. This often involves understanding how different components work together and using diagnostic tools to identify issues.

  • You'll learn how to perform repairs and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in good working order. This might involve tasks like replacing parts, calibrating equipment, or conducting routine inspections.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, typically 4 years of relevant experience is required.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • 2+ years experience working in pumps, motors, valve, and actuator operation.

  • 2+ years experience working in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

  • 2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and complex schematics.

  • 2+ years experience working with Maintenance Management System (Enfor Preferred).

  • 2+ years experience working with common office technology including MS office suite.

  • 2+ years experience ensuring OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
