Role Description: As an Engineering Technician, you must have at least 3+ years of experience. As an integral part of the Engineering Department, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory functions through test execution, equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This role is crucial for research, quality control, and manufacturing processes, delivering precise data and analysis essential to client operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine and specialized tests and experiments as per Engineering specifications.

- Develop and implement test methods and protocols for product assemblies.

- Assemble and construct products, sub-assemblies, and components.

- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

- Ensure compliance with construction, design, and safety standards for products.

- Work with vendors to source alternative components for both new and existing products.

- Record and analyze data and prepare detailed reports.

- Follow established protocols and regulations to uphold laboratory safety.

- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and reorder as necessary.

- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure efficient operations.

- Assist in training new laboratory staff.

Requirements and Skills:

- Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the laboratory.

- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Education and Experience:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

- Background in Fabrication, Electrical Engineering, or experience with product mechanics.

Reasoning Ability:

- Ability to understand and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

- Capable of solving problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle objects.

- Regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate with colleagues.

- Ability to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.

- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.

Work Environment:

- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
