Specialty Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Technician to join our team at Engineering Consulting Services, Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field observations, inspections, and testing of various construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field activities, including observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials.
- Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
- Conduct routine observations of structural steel and reinforcing steel, including welded or bolted connections using various methodologies and testing equipment.
- Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections.
- Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers, keeping the team informed of changing site conditions and requested additional testing.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have and be willing to maintain at least 2 specialty certifications from industry authorities.
- Position requires carrying 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
- Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
- Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed.
