The Payroll Tax Services Analyst II solves payroll tax problems in complicated situations and analyzes practical solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents. Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting skills, root cause analysis skills and can implement preventative measures. Explains complex information. Works extensively with peers and customer teams to collaboratively support customers and resolve requests. 
Responsibilities:

Monitor and track jurisdictional inquiries/requests tax applications to completion. Review and research agency notices for assigned jurisdictions. Independently perform various audits to ensure data integrity and identify error corrections needed.
Coordinate and run out of sequence payroll using the ADP system.
Tax return filings for Federal, State, Locals (Access query Knowledge Require)
Audit and prepare complex W2/W2c and Process prior year balance adjustments coordinating with ADP. 
Ensure compliance and accuracy while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax issues related to Federal, State and Local tax compliance. 
Answers tax inquiries from the employees, clients & internal staff. 
Balancing and reconciliation of tax transmission.
Projects/Testing and implementation of system updates for tax and compliance changes and work on Yearend project for Production W2.
Collaborate with various teams to complete payroll/tax issues. 
Preview Payroll and coordinate with ADP to sign off on payroll run.
Tax agency registrations and reporting.
Prepare weekly, monthly quarterly matrix for the clients.
Reconcile payroll taxes at the employee level. Provide the research, analysis, and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency related payroll tax amendments in a timely manner.
Conduct training, knowledge transfer and/or participate in cross training. Managing detailed procedures (DTP) for various processes.
Ensure adherence to sound business procedures and systems to meet all tax reporting and management control requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. 

Requirements:

Batchelor’s degree in accounting and tax (CPP is a plus)
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in Payroll tax required.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax law and compliance procedures 
Proficiency in strong Excel skills, Access Query and general Microsoft Office, applications, required.
Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws
Be well versed in payroll compliance, taxes, and reporting.
ADP system application knowledge plus
Have knowledge of all areas of employment tax processing (Payroll, Tax return filing, Tax audit)
Be able to work 8am-5pm EST Monday through Friday.
Hybrid work – Be able to work remotely mostly but also be able to commute work on-site in the Farmington, CT office, as needed.

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
