This position will drive and execute key initiatives for existing customers across the grocery channel. The primary objectives for this role will be to build strong relationships with grocery customers, understand their needs in the categories we service, and work with a cross-functional team to execute initiatives. This role will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the company's development and profitability. Essential Functions of the Job:
Directly manage specific grocery private label accounts across all categories serviced (plant-based milks, broth, fruit snacks). Work closely with customers to understand their needs and goals to inform the SunOpta business plan. Identify potential challenges to meeting customer needs and proactively work with your SunOpta team to resolve.
Develop and maintain by-SKU forecasts for revenue and by-item velocity. Monitor and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) internally and externally. Leverage the team to become an expert in SunOpta R&D, supply chain and operational capabilities and constraints, then use that understanding to successfully create and execute plans and projects with customers. Work collaboratively with marketing to maintain and optimize existing business and identify areas for future growth. Build and maintain relationships with various customer contacts, i.e. merchants, sourcing and product development. Offer customers category management support, providing guidance on price, shelf positioning, sales trends, etc. to help drive profitable growth for their business with SunOpta products. Look for and actively help to streamline supply chain and drive efficiencies where possible.
Other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a role working with CPG retailers in sales, analytics, marketing, and supply chain. Experience with Target, Aldi, and Trader Joe's is preferred. Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to be self-motivated and deliver/produce high quality work.
A strong analytical mindset with an intuitive sense of how to interpret KPIs and take operational advantage of data-driven insights.
Ability to collaborate closely with internal team members (i.e. customer service, marketing, R&D, commercialization) and navigate a cross-functional organization to get things done. Proven expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
A goal-oriented and KPI-driven attitude and approach.
Ability to manage and execute multiple priorities. Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements in pursuit of the sales targets.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver a clear and concise message internally and externally.
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment. Additional Considerations:
Travel Expectation: up to 30% The position is based at our HQ in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
