Primary Responsibility :Manage Network Services Associates, the enterprise data and voice networks and systems. The Manager, Network Services will ensure high levels of availability, performance, scalability, security, manageability and reliability in the enterprise data and voice networks and systems.What You'll Do :o
Design, configure, install, maintain and support corporate data center and site network environments to meet the company's requirements for availability, performance, scalability, and security. o
Ensure designs and implementations include appropriate levels of redundancy and capabilities to support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) requirements.o
Identify improvements and efficiencies that can be made to organizations Network Services operating model.o
Ensure all efforts are communicated and benefit the enterprise is realized.o
Review existing processes and procedures to strengthen, streamline, simplify and improve administrative systems.o
Ability to design and scale primary and DR datacenter network infrastructureso
Ability to identify SPOF (single points of failure) within a network and provide solutions to mitigate outageso
Maintain awareness of emerging networking technologies and best practices, industry trends and vendor strategies. Researches and evaluates new technologies / practices for applicability to the company, performance, reliability, cost, and recommends place in company's infrastructure strategy. Develops and executes proactive plans to ensure the timely replacement of aging equipment and the introduction of new technologies.o
Manage data circuits, contracts and vendors, ensuring the timely renewal and selection of technologies to provide the appropriate connection for worldwide facilities. Negotiates favorable terms to reduce rates and improve service. Reviews invoices and services for accuracy and attainment of service level commitments.o
Works with management and security personnel to assist in implementing and enforcing security policies. Provide systems and services to support network security such as: firewalls, VPN, network access control, appropriate routing / switching design, centralized authentication, 802.1x, etc.o
Monitor and tunes performance at all layers of the network, participating in cross-functional teams and using workload analysis and other predictive tools to tune system for optimal performance. Participates in the capacity planning process.o
Actively participate in the resolution of network or other system and application issues or outages and maintains an appropriate suite of network monitoring and alerting tools to provide proactive notification of current or potential issues or outages.o
Create and maintain an appropriate test environment as well as comprehensive network documentation to assist in application and infrastructure design efforts as well as troubleshooting. Follows change management processes for all changes introduced into the production network environment.o
Responsible for all corporate telephone equipment and services, including but not limited to: PBX, voice mail systems, desktop phones, phone lines, local and long distance service, VoIP systems, etc.o
Participate with overall IT governance, budget, and expenses for the functiono
Plan, implement and monitor changes in infrastructure configurationso
Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutionso
Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutionso
Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectationso
Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the statuso
Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnelo
Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solutiono
Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contractso
Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriateo
Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.What Experience and Education You Need :o
BS in Computer Science; or equivalent combination of education and experienceo
At least 10 years of experience designing, maintaining and supporting complex data and voice networks, and security environments at large enterprise (CCNP, CCIE a plus)o
8+years of work experience in managing technical staffo
ITIL Certification and commitment to IT Service Management Model is a plus.What Could Set You Apart :o

Ability to interpret HR regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. At least 2 years of experience in managing small to medium IT projects and tasks to successful completion, on time and to budget.o
