SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Schedules and coordinates flow of work within the production department to meet customer demand.
Interact in the day-to-day operation of the production, quality assurance, warehouse and customer service departments to ensure objectives are met.
Schedules production to maximize efficiency of manufacturing while maintaining finished goods inventory levels within established guidelines.
Coordinates trim and rework through the production group to maximize usage and reduce raw material cost. Reviews packaging and cheese availability when scheduling production lines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review Shortages Reports, add items to schedule and organize to make the most efficient schedule for each line of the facility.
Learn order patterns of customers. Establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Work with production, warehouse, and quality departments to make sure product is released on time to ship to customer. Alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.Coordinate with QA and Raw Material group for disposition and consumption of precut and rework. Coordinate with purchasing run and transfer dates based on raw material availability.Coordinate with Buyer of packaging run and transfer dates based on raw material availability.Working with both Customer Service and Sales Teams. Effectively interface with various individuals and their functions within the organization to accomplish stated objectives.Adhere to company attendance and punctuality policy.Perform other duties as assigned.Pacific Cheese offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
