Must be process oriented and detailed.BASIC FUNCTIONSIn addition to daily responsibilities and duties, the Shipping & Receiving Associate will support tasks and initiatives as assigned by Manager. Assist the manager in picking product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services.Working in a food manufacturing environment, employee must follow all established Company policies and procedures primarily, GMP guidelines. Ability to perform but not limited to the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below. Familiarity with and able to interpret packing slips as well as acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order.MANAGEMENT SCOPENon Management ResponsibilitiesBENEFITS |PTO: Vacation401 K: Up to 5% matchHealth/Dental /Vision: BCBS MassLife/AD&D InsuranceESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | Position also includes, but is not limited to the following:Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.SUCCESSFUL FACTORS |Solid ethical disposition and ability to form business relationships across the organization.Solid verbal and written communication skills and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.Ability to analyze, plan and solve problems.Ability to execute sound independent judgment and communicate effectively with staff across the organization.Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Power Point, Excel, and Word a must.Must be detailed oriented, organized and ability to multitask.Promote positive environment and have solid interpersonal skills while adhering to Company established Core Values.Spanish language skills a plus but not required.Commitment and Accountability to work scheduleMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
