Please review the job details below.Maxar is hiring a Weather Sales Manager to join our team of experienced weather sales and customer success professionals. This role will focus on selling our WeatherDesk and ClimateDesk solutions, delivering client value within industries such as: banking, finance, energy, and agriculture. The incumbent of this role will be highly motivated, strategy focused, sales driven, and have strong experience in meteorology, value proposition, and account service management. Our unique approach combines decades of deep mission understanding and a proven commercial and defense foundation to deploy solutions and deliver insights with unrivaled speed, scale, and cost effectiveness. What You’ll Be Doing:Drive go-to-market activities for established and new offeringsDirect weather sales activity and revenue delivery within the line of businessDefine and refine strategy for sales and customer-focused activitiesDrive and achieve 6-figure sales quotasComplete all aspects of the sales process, including rigorous qualification of customer opportunitiesUtilize meteorology and technical background to explain WeatherDesk products and how they can solve customer issuesAttend tradeshows, grow customer relationships, and be key contact for customer account managementDrive internal processes in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Ops, Product, and Engineering, including briefing General Managers, CFO, and CEO when requiredMinimum Requirements:  Must be a U.S. CitizenBachelors in Meteorology, Weather Science, or equivalent experience in industryMinimum of 3 years of experience (ideally 5 years) with weather products: forecasting, operations, customer service, energy, agriculture, trading, or equivalentStrong communication, sales demeanor, account management, drive for success attributesPreferred Requirements:Deep customer knowledge and networkSelf-motivated with good interpersonal and negotiating skillsTeam player and demonstrated high level of integrityDemonstrates creativity in developing winning solutionsAble to continuously motivate teams when faced with aggressive growth targetsSkilled in prioritizing to drive maximum revenue impact when faced with multiple, competing demands on timeExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and methodsExcellent industry and market awarenessExperience with Salesforce.comStrong excel and powerpoint skillsAble to manage a budgetAble to travel up to 20% of the timeExperience with Sandler Sales Methodology or similarWhat’s In It For You: There is a reason we boast awards like Best Employer, Best Place to work, Top employer, candidate experience winner. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$51,000.00 - $108,000.00 annually.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
