1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Job DescriptionResponsibilities: The primary purpose is to perform general mechanical troubleshooting and repair equipment.• Troubleshoot and solves all mechanical problems. This includes replacing parts such as bearings, pulleys, belts, chains and sprockets.• Repair drive components such as motors, gears, reducers.• Ability to follow through and make sure proper parts are ordered • Ability to use hand tools • Knowledge of all related hoses and fittings• Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks • Ability to follow applicable safety and environment requirements, food safety, GMPs. • Basic knowledge of welding • Ability to adjust equipment as needed to reach targeted production demands• Understand lock-out/tag out procedures• Perform other duties as assigned• Must have organizational skills • Responsible for maintenanceRequired Skills• Previous mechanical experience highly preferred but willing to train• Previous experience in Basic Electricity, Pneumatics, Mechanical Power Transmission, Welding• Proficient in trouble shooting• Education/Experience in the use of measurement tools and instruments • Education/Experience in interpreting schematics and pneumatics • Proficient in verbal/written communication with upper managementRequired ExperienceOSI Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that believes everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
