Successful Quality Technicians show willingness to learn, positive attitude, ability to communicate, and good integrity in course of performing daily duties.   MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES(Essential duties for which this position is responsible.)·         Observing all Safety requirements in top priority·         Wear PPEs when necessary·         Must defend product and Always enforce Food Safety·         Must observe, document, and communicate all product quality measurements in relationship to product specification·         Basic math, reasoning, and data interpretation skills are a must·         Must have basic computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft word and excel·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills·         Must be able to work with line Supervisors and hourly production employees to improve and maintain product quality and Food Safety of product·         Must be able to work with peers in quality department for “big picture” success·         Must be able to deal with conflict in a calm, professional manner·         Must be able to take direction from QA foremen and able to receive constructive criticism from all levels of Quality Department·         Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment·         Must be HACCP certified by Oakland Foods Quality group·         Must observe HACCP checks, perform HACCP checks, and ensure all HACCP is documented properly·         Must be able to perform hands-on pre-operation inspections (1st shift only)·         Be able to react to and document sanitary issues on SSOP sheets·         Must enforce and follow all plant GMPs·         Must be willing to learn new duties, flexible in duties, and willing to help at all times with issues as they arise·         Must be flexible with hours (2nd shift only)·         Follow all other duties as assigneeEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLSHigh School diploma or GED preferred. Required SkillsOSI Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that believes everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
