We are seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related field. As Senior Systems Security Engineer you will utilize your skills and expertise to support the execution of the multiple programs being directly responsible for technical execution, leadership, guidance, and oversight system development life-cycle. Including responsibilities throughout the design concept, technical reviews (PDR/CDR), and integration and test activities. These responsibilities may include procurement, major design, deployment, testing and validation of cybersecurity tools, Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and associated Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. You will be responsible for building and maintaining customer technical relationship with key customer representatives and several major suppliers. You will assist in building the team including hiring and managing several direct reports and will oversee and support them in their technical roles and career development. You will work with engineering managers and functional engineering leads to recruit, hire, train, and support the engineering team as they execute program design activities. You will be responsible for supplier(s) including creating SOWs and technical specifications, design reviews, product integration, EVM performance, and qualification test activities.Must Haves:Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 10 years of relevant experience8 years of previous experience as the primary appointed ISSM for a classified systemThorough knowledge and understanding of program management, aviation, aerospace & defense, and/or engineering programsIntimate knowledge of NIST 800-53, 800-171, Risk Management Framework and other Federal accreditation methodologiesDoD 8140 IAT and IAM Level III commensurate certification (IE: CISSP or equivalent)Demonstrated working knowledge of managing the technical performance requirements of multiple programs through all phases from inception to completionProven track-record developing, communicating, and executing to meet technical program performanceAbility to lead through complex situations, delegate tasking, inspire your team, and drive results through innovationAn active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and current CI polygraph U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:ISC2's Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CertificationLeadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviewsKnowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering Windows operating systems, experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization and other related peripheralsExperience with A&A requirements as outlined in the NISPOM, RMF for DOD, ICD 503, JSIG & NIST RMFExperience with NC3 survivability requirements and design approaches Develop and improve engineering processes and methodsFamiliarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule managementPast history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternativesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures Estimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 - $171,560.71.
