Join our team As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Aircraft Health Monitoring to support our program. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, development, and integration of health monitoring systems across the aircraft. You will lead efforts to model, simulate, test, and certify these systems to meet performance and safety standards. As part of a cross-functional team, you will ensure seamless operation and integration of health monitoring systems across multiple subsystems throughout the product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop System Architectures: Design and model aircraft health monitoring systems from concept through detailed design, using advanced modeling tools.Lead System Integration: Ensure the seamless integration of health monitoring systems across avionics, ECS, and other key subsystems.Manage Requirements: Derive, allocate, and track functional requirements using tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, Rhapsody, and NoMagic.Identify and Mitigate Risks: Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the reliability and safety of health monitoring systems.Verification & Validation (V&V): Conduct system-level V&V to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.Support Certification and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, conduct, and analyze system tests.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsThorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principlesThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Advanced Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLABKnowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)Experience or certification in INCOSE standardsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryExperience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measuresThorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
