Join our team As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

As the Principal Systems Engineer (Fuels), you will take ownership of fuel system design, integration, and performance throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will research, architect, simulate, and validate complex fuel system solutions. Your role will ensure that the aircraft’s fuel systems meet stringent technical and performance standards for the mission.

You will:

  • Develop system architectures: From concept through detailed design using advanced modeling tools.

  • Lead system integration: Oversee fuel system integration across multiple subsystems, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Manage requirements: Derive, allocate, and track functional requirements.

  • Perform technical risk assessments: Identify and mitigate risks associated with fuel system performance and integration.

  • Support system certification and testing: Conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) of fuel systems to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to deliver solutions aligned with program goals.

Who You Are

We are seeking a results-oriented leader with deep expertise in aerospace systems, ideally in fuel system design, integration, and certification.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

  • Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Advanced experience with systems modeling tools (CAMEO, DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB).

  • Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

  • Certification or experience with INCOSE standards.

  • Background in aerospace and defense fuel systems engineering.

  • Experience in baseline definition, technical performance tracking (TPM), and trade studies

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
