Job Description Director, Supply Chain - Pet Nutrition North America - Shawnee, KSPurpose:The first objective of this role is to create a Supply Chain organization, leading all SC processes for the PET Solutions and Animal Nutrition divisions in North America.This professional will lead the Supply/Demand Planning, Customer Service, Distribution/Warehousing/Logistics functionsDevelopment of an Sales & Operations Planning process that can best balance our demand and supply, improving our warehousing and transportation processes, optimizing inventory and network, building talent in our supply chain team, and finally delivering outstanding service to our customers.This position is critical for the success of the PET Solutions and Animal Nutrition divisions, and it will be part of these divisions leadership teams.Responsibilities:Create a Sales & Operations Planning process for PET Solutions & Animal Nutrition North America. This position will own the S&OP process for the organization.Lead the demand and supply planning processes based on the statistical sales forecast of the commercial and marketing areas to guarantee service to customers and a good inventory and risks administration.Lead the production planning process of the plants, liaising with operations and Procurement teams, to guarantee the supply of finished products to the customers of the different divisions, aiming to optimize plants utilization to achieve the lowest possible cost with optimal customer serviceLead the customer service process in all the business units to ensure that the agreed-to service levels agreements are met according to the commercial contracts.Lead the policy/process of finished products & materials inventories in warehouses to achieve the correct balance between financial expense, service level and risksAdministrate the transportation & logistics activities in each channel to guarantee the distribution of products with the best service level at the optimal operating cost.Define the imports and exports process of the products to guarantee the correct service level to customers at the lowest cost and ensuring their timely supply.Guarantee the optimal operation of the distribution centers, own and external, to have the correct distribution of products and improve the service levels to customers.Define a Supply Chain Strategy and Roadmap with clear KPI s, aligned to Business Strategies (Short/Long)Accountable to deliver Supply Chain costs at agreed targetsLook for alternative production solutions (e.g. third-party manufacturers) and administrate them to meet company's quality standards, with the required response time, at the required cost, when the production and/or innovation plans so require it.Requirements:EDUCATION: Engineering degree or equivalentMBA / MScs preferredJOB EXPERIENCE:
