Job Summary: Director Human Resources - Shawnee, OK
This position will work with senior leaders and their respective teams to define and implement people strategies that are aligned with business plans to grow and evolve the organization. This role brings a well-rounded, strategic perspective and experience to people planning with the senior leadership team. In addition, the individual will bring a unique background across all functional areas of HR (engagement, workforce planning, talent management, compliance, employee relations, total rewards, leadership development, etc.) to drive organization effectiveness and enable business results.
As an ambassador for the HR function with the business, the Director works collaboratively with all levels within the team to help them understand priorities and governance standards. The Director will join an incredible team of HR professionals and act as the conscience of the company in the business, helping leaders bring to life the company's mission, vision and values.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support and coach the business area executives, leadership team and cross-functional areas to work as a high performing team
- Support the development, delivery, and deployment of HR programs and processes
- Develop and implement a people strategy for the business
- Advise on organization, team and job design to continually evolve and improve organizational effectiveness
- Work with leaders to develop the outstanding value proposition to enable attraction and retention of top talent
- Maintain a finger on the pulse of employee engagement and bring forward insights and action plans
- Stay on to top of the latest trends, research, and practices in HR
- Lead and inspire a high performing team, committed to continuous improvement
Key Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in Human Resources or relevant work experience. Post graduate studies in relevant field an asset (e.g. Organization Behaviour, Adult Education, Psychology)
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Senior HR business partner
- Excellent knowledge of relevant US employment legislation
- Excellent facilitator and communicator with strong client management skills, and a consultative, mutual problem solving approach
- Able to build trust, follow through, and act with integrity
- Technologically proficient – HR Software experience, MS Office
