Senior Legal Specialist

Purpose: The Legal Compliance Administrator will work with the Legal and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) departments to ensure Crystal Clean is in compliance with the State and Federal regulatory and third-party customer requirements by supporting the Corporate Law department.
Essential Duties:

Receive and track incoming sales prequalification data requests
Monitor and maintain third party sales qualification databases  (i.e. BROWZ, ISNetworld, etc.) with current and correct information
Consistently resolve disputes and open legal issues
General Law Department Internal Functions

Maintain and update legal holds
Manage and process all subpoenas and request for information and lawsuits
Assist with projects from Contract Administration and the General Counsel
Maintain integrity of internal law department database
Assist the Legal Operation Manager with corporate governance as needed

Update and ensure accuracy of CC’s policies
Maintain Legal department budget, expenses, and accruals
Maintain Outside Counsel and Legal Vendors and Programs
Assist with customer requests for certificates of insurance

Other Duties

Core Competencies

Must have exceptional oral (phone), written and interpersonal communication skills
Basic knowledge of legal and compliance operations
Individual must be highly organized with ability to accurately document information
Present a positive image of Crystal Clean to fellow employees, external contacts, the general public

Work Experience

1-3+ years work experience required (Experienced non-managerial)

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
Licensed Notary Public (Preferred)

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Noise level of the environment is generally quiet. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.
