Mission

The Key Account Manager (Northeast) is a field-based position within a fast moving multifunction sales and manufacturing organization. Must be able to maintain consistent quality support within an OEM environment, follow up sales leads and develop new sales opportunities, target and develop appropriate vertical markets, develop existing key OEM accounts in accordance with the Sales budget, meet all sales volume objectives, coordinate with both internal and external technical support, intervene in regard to customer service, schedule sales calls, assist customers with training, support product launches, provide market information and sales forecasts to sales management and ensure that sales administration responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Main Accountabilities
  • Call on assigned accounts, managing all aspects of product sales and support. Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and agreements. Must be competent to present at all levels.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and coordinate with other parts of the Sales Department, such as Applications, Customer Service, Quotations and Sales Management.
  • Identify, investigate and qualify new OEM product development opportunities.
  • Support both design and technical teams within our new and existing OEM accounts.
  • Support Strategic Plan development and implementation based on performance of projects assigned by Sales Management.
  • Grow all aspects of given territory in line with budgets and forecasts.
  • Overnight travel will be essential to achieve the goals of this position
  • Other assigned duties


Required Skills
  • You must be a technically aware sales professional with an electrical background
  • BS/BA, with engineering degree preferred but we are keen to hear from any candidate with the correct experience.
  • 5 to 10 years in the electrical industry with a minimum of 5 years sales experience
  • Strong product applications knowledge to sell in a technical environment
  • Superior sales, communications and presentation skills, sufficient to sell to experienced/senior/technical managers
  • Must be able to travel overnight
  • Ideally based out of the state of MA, NH, CT, or NY
