Information Alliance, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in telecommunications (voice and data) systems. This is an opportunity to work with a leading provider of electric utilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of telecommunication technologies, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This will be a hybrid work arrangement at one of the following locations: Portland, OR, Des Moines, IA, Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Reno, NV, or Omaha, NE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of telecom projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Manage vendor contracts and hold them accountable to meet assigned their assigned deliverables.
  • Prepare weekly status reports for leadership.
  • Maintain and track risks/issues and mitigation plans.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations, and promote best practices in project management.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on telecom equipment and systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience in the electric utilities industry.
