JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a qualified and skilled Technology Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting agency hardware, systems software, and applications software portfolio, including maintenance of data dictionaries, equipment and software installation and upgrades, data conversions, system utilities and change control as well as coordinating problem resolution and referrals to other support areas. This is a statewide position with occasional physical demands, such as lifting and ladder climbing, in an office environment.

LOCATION: Onsite/Frankfort (Statewide Travel Required)

HOURS: Monday Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support for hardware, systems software, and applications software across the agency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defective equipment issues before deployment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software and application issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and manage data dictionaries and oversee system upgrades.
  • Install and upgrade equipment and software as needed.
  • Manage data conversions and perform system utilities.
  • Coordinate problem resolution and escalate issues to other departments when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with change control procedures and maintain documentation.
  • Manage the network room and support its related functions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Associate degree with 2+ years of job-related experience, or High School Diploma with 4+ years of job-related experience may be considered.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Network Operating Systems experience.
  • General Understanding of the ITIL Framework.
  • Computer Technical Certification (e.g., MOS, MTA, MCP, A+, or MCITP) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders as needed.
