The Systems Administrator manages and oversees Mount Vernon s Ladies Association s (the Association) CRM database (Tessitura) and ancillary systems. This position works with departments across the Association to ensure all programs operate seamlessly and provides analytical support for executive leadership and department leaders.
The Systems Administrator provides day-to-day support, maintenance, training, and troubleshooting for Tessitura. They oversee database upgrades and data migration and implement best practices and customizations to the Tessitura application. The systems administrator designs, documents, and implements procedures for using and maintaining the database. The position is responsible for the quality and integrity of the data by working with all departments on the accuracy of all records. Compensation:Starting at $88,000/year Responsibilities: Systems Management
  • Maintain and enhance Tessitura to service the business requirements of all internal users.
  • Work with Power Users in each department to ensure that new functionality and business initiatives are appropriately implemented, all new and current users are trained, and departments maximize the use of Tessitura.
  • Lead regular meetings with an internal user group to discuss new functionality in the upcoming service packs and business needs and ensure technologies are implemented and working efficiently.
  • Primary contact for Tessitura regarding issues and enhancements.
  • Plan for future CRM developments and integrations.
  • Work with relevant external service providers to develop and enable operational support for new and existing systems.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments. Research, recommend, and help design new procedures, methods, and technologies.
Database Management
  • Supervise the operation and use of the Tessitura database and related systems throughout the Association.
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of the data by establishing routines with all departments and performing regular data checks.
  • Supports the departments with data cleanup and deduplication efforts.
  • Run the quarterly processes to verify constituent addresses. Managing the privacy email account and removing/anonymizing constituents at their request.
  • Import the kill list from our caging vendor.
  • Responsible for user setup and maintenance. Documents the security permissions by role and annually reviews them for all users.
Reports and Analysis
  • Support the departments' reporting needs by presenting existing reports or developing additional reports and/or dashboards.
  • Provide advanced reporting and segmentation and perform data mining to support the business in making decisions.
  • Develop custom views, or SQL programs, for departments to improve their reporting or data pull.
  • Develop or improve customized reports or work with an SQL programmer to develop/enhance those reports.
Documentation
  • Design, document, maintain, and refine agreed and shared business rules to ensure consistency of use across the Association and protect the integrity of the database.
  • Be the caretaker of all Tessitura-related documentation.
  • Department-specific documentation is created and maintained by the departments.
  • Be the point of contact for all documentation-related questions.
Miscellaneous
  • Represent MVLA at Tessitura local and national meetings.
  • Other duties as directed by the executive leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with CRM systems (preferably Tessitura), SQL, and email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across departments and manage the different departmental needs.
  • Work independently.
  • Bachelor s degree required.
