Moorecroft is seeking to hire a Sr. Technical Writer in the Los Angeles area. Exciting and engaging consulting role in a fast-paced environment. Long-term engagement with potential to extend.

Sr. Technical Writer

Onsite at least 2x per week

Location: Glendale, CA

  • 5+ years of information security technology compliance, risk, or audit experience.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, controls & regulations.
  • Responsible for translating technical approaches and strategies into high-quality content
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
  • Develop boilerplates for commonly requested information for use across all department efforts
  • Translate technical information into clear, readable narratives for a non-technical audience
  • Experience in developing highly complex, written content including proposals, qualification documents, and customer presentations based on industry proposal standards
  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams of management, operations, and proposal personnel across multiple companies
  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and technical manuals and design documents
  • Create and maintain documentation repositories in SharePoint and network share locations
  • Understand and author policies and procedure
  • Enforce records management policies and protection of sensitive data
  • Develop living documents including tabletop exercise documents and playbooks

Education Qualifications

  • Master s degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
