Quad Graphics is seeking a Manufacturing Support Planner to work at our Sussex, WI plant.  The person in this position will plan, direct and coordinate work orders of the business and different divisions. He/she will plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency, and give direction to staff for optimum performance.
 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • - Comply with Quad Graphic’s safety rules, policies and procedures
    - Successfully complete all required safety and environmental training in order to perform the job in a safe manner
  • - Reviews work orders for each significant piece of information
  • - Review work orders needing planning and materials
    - Ensure work order has approval and authority
  • - Order all parts for new work orders
  • - Attend weekly scheduling meeting
  • - Prepare daily schedule for maintenance supervisor (without assigning personnel to job)
  • - Facilitate maintenance activity with production
  • - Maintain integrity of PM program, i.e., check list, trigger, frequency, compliance, and schedules, working with other Departments in the plant, schedule maintenance procedures in MC system. 
  • - Establish and maintain equipment parts catalog, equipment history, storeroom, min/ max levels 
  • - Identify recurring maintenance problems
  • - Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • - Implement parts kits for schedule maintenance
  • - Train employees on all shifts on the MC System

 Qualifications:

  • - Has years of experience in the field
  • - Knowledge of the plant, equipment, and operations with a strong working knowledge of the Finishing Department. .
  • - Able to work independently with minimal Supervision.  
  • - Ability to work all shifts as needed.
  • - Proficient in relevant software applications (smartools, Microsoft Windows/Word/Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • - Get along well with people, respect others, and is able to teach others
  • - Ability to make simple sketches and has visionary skills
  • - Must be self-motivated, follow up with outstanding items, and be able to communicate well with others.  
  • - Willing to work in a team work environment and be reliable
