Job Summary

Center Point Energy is looking for a Residential & Commercial Account Managerto join our Team, located in Noblesville, Indiana.

You will have the ability to: Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, this position will be responsible for providing direct account manager support for CenterPoint Energy's Residential and Commerical customers. This position will serve as a single point of contact for customers and will be responsible for growing meter count and increasing both electric and natural gas residential and commercial utility margin.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the single point of contact for residential and commercial customer accounts in assigned geographical region.
  • Coodinate all sales-related activities related to providing natural gas and electric service to CenterPoint Energy's Indiana customer base, including developing and cultivating relationships with key builders and developers.
  • Assist in the development of strategic business and sales plans identifying and communicating customer energy needs to attract and retain CenterPoint Energy's residential and commercial customer base and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Strengthen relationships and gain actionable insights that drive value for residential and commercial customers, CenterPoint Energy, and improve customer commitment.
  • Communicate with key internal stakeholders and Business Development leadership regarding new business opportunities, to ensure growth targets are achived.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with key internal/external stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Work directly with customer, contractors or other trade allys to ensure proper load requirements are obtained and provided to engineering for formal design.
  • Ensure work orders are created, assigned and appropriately managed throught the work order lifecycle.
  • Partner with CenterPoint Energy's Energy Efficiency team to promote and educate customers on available energy efficiency program offerings.
  • Develop and maintain key developer/builder profiles.
  • In partnership with Credit and Collections, ensure credit support/performance assurance is obtained, maintained and customer refunds are processed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure contracts are secured, executed, and properly maintained in accordance to CenterPoint Energy's tariff, authorization policy, and document retention policies.
Education Description

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Public Relations

Experience
  • 3+ Years Experience
  • Residential/commercial construction, building and/or development
  • Natural gas and/or electric utility
  • Assess individual performance against a set of measurable criteria.
  • Hold self and others accountable for verifying results and living the values.
  • Demonstrate willingness to examine successes and failures in order to apply what was learned to improve individual performance.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities of his or her position efficiently and effectively.
