  • Provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks.
  • Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
  • Monitor network and telecommunications systems performance and respond to anomalies and issues according to defined procedures.
  • Assist in deployment of VoIP, Video teleconference (VTC), and plain-old telephone systems (POTS).
  • Interface and communicate with network operations centers of external providers as needed.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and printers.
  • Communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.
  • Install and configure new network and telecommunications systems hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain network telecommunications systems diagrams and configuration documentation.

The candidate must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications: Network+, CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Video, or any such equivalent as approved. Must obtain certification prior to being accepted on contract.
