Key Responsibilities- Design and implement large-scale network solutions in enterprise environments
- Lead the planning and execution of network infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and expansions
- Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to safeguard against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance network performance and reliability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the networking team
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications
- Conduct regular performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal network operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including outages and performance degradation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures
- Bachelor's degree or additional 5 years experience in network engineering
- 5+ years of Networking experience, designing and implementing large-scale network solutions in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and best practices, including TCP/IP, Nexus vPC, OSPF, VLANs, HSRP, Spanning-Tree, and Multicast
- A track record of successfully leading multiple engineering efforts from concept development to implementation, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders, and driving projects to completion
- Extensive experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Arista
- Solid grasp of network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption
- Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A solid understanding of Ethernet cable transport technologies including Fiber Optic and Twisted-Pair cable
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level security clearance
- Experience implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) technical controls through Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)
- Working knowledge of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) policies
