Position Opportunity
The Process Engineer works under direction of the Senior Manager of Engineering to design, coordinate and implement cleaning processes and procedures. These procedures are designed to ensure effective and efficient processing of parts and components consistent with established methodologies and specifications (industry standard and/or customer-provided). The Process Engineer implements these procedures by creation of Travelers to yield the most effective and efficient results in a timely manner to support customer demand.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Designs, coordinates and implements cleaning procedures
- Creates Work Travelers to distribute procedures to direct labor staff
- Evaluates cleaning requirements, technical drawings, and customer needs to ensure effective and efficient process design
- Resolves discrepancies between customer PO and specification and/or AS9100 requirements
- Acts as liaison between Operations, Quality Assurance and Estimating
- Creates and updates Traveler templates as needed
- Utilizes various software applications in design and maintenance of processes/procedures
- Evaluates specifications to design and calculate cleanliness verification sampling plans
- Implements processes and procedures necessary to achieve quality and production objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during continuous improvement activities
- Assists technical and Cleanroom workers engaged in continuous improvement activities
- Assists the review of new requirements to determine capability to perform and potential cost impacts associated with the effort
- Gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit
- Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and completes work in timely manner
- Support continuous improvement projects
- Complete duties as assigned by management
- Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws
Education/Training/Certifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from four-year college or university required
Related Experience:One (1) year prior customer service, manufacturing, sales, or cleanroom experience preferred. Should also demonstrate prior job stability & dependability
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions from documents, technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for surface are and volume using a calculator and supplied formula
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Will be exposed to dust, fume, smoke, toxic chemicals and disagreeable odors

- The pay for this position has a salary of $65,000 to $72,000, annually. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
